    Okay, I will be the bad guy here! You have hundreds and thousands of views on your content, but you only have one series. It's almost like winning the lottery except never claiming your ticket. I've seen content creators making several videos a week over the past 10 years and not get but a few hundred views. You have the subscribers and followers you just don't make any content.Your videos are very short too! How is that using all your family time? I understand this is a massive job but you have the perfect opportunity to be a content creator on RUclips full time. Everyone likes what you're doing here but you're just not doing it. I think your content is fantastic so get everyone involved and ask subscribers to come volunteer on your boat on the weekends if you need help! I saw enough boat materials to take a week's vacation and do enough filming for one season. Anyways, I hope all is well. I'm looking forward to your next episode . Grab up the kids and let's start making memories! Everyone on Deck let's go!

    FYI you need to be clear that you will never get back the $$ you are going to spend restoring it, you up for major dollars 30 thousand for a pair of used engines to start.

  • @incognitoyt7940
    @incognitoyt7940 23 дня назад

    Sounds like a plan, I’m sure all would be interested in how the cost analysis ended up, it’s easy to talk ideas you would like but once you start to know the dollar value of things I garentee plans will change. $30 thousand minimum just for a pair of used engines and you have just scratched the surface.. I hope I’m wrong but I can’t see you putting $40 plus thousand into it and that amount might not even get you in the water.

    I'm making a flats boat from scratch. Restoration is a lot of work but it's looking good. The Pacific NW is a perfect area for a boat like that. It's going to be a lot of fun for you and your family when you're done. Just FYI...I think the Simrad GO9 offers an interface with Suzuki outboards so you can have fewer gauges and save a bit of money, but check before you buy. I think I paid 999.00 for the unit and transducer. It's not a Garmin but it costs less. Subbed.

    I HATE Pour-in foam...it's boat suicide when it's put it under decking. Ii just removed 120 lbs of water logged pour in foam from a small boat that some paranoid goof poured in in there 10 years ago. Thankfully nothing was rotted, except I had to cut out the wet deck to remove the shit. I'm NOT putting back in. Manufacturer didn't put in so I'm not either. Horrible shit. They're called air buoyancy decks for a reason. I've seen so many boats screwed from pour in foam. Good video....great tools and techniques to remove! Thank you...👍

    PNW Oregon here! Wow! What an amazing job your doing! I have a 16 foot Bayliner Mutiny i put a new floor in. The worst part was chipping out the foam! Then a year or two later I had do do it again, this time from the bulkhead back to the transom, anything wood was removed and replaced and this time, the transom was completely redone. I fabicated a swim step and after the restoration, the step corner got hit and exposed the wood. Water found it way to the 3 drywall screws that were used to mount the step before glassing. So, im gonna send it until the motor falls off. But wow, what a huge undertaking. And no, i guess worse than the foam removal, was the balsa core. Mine wa just a small area, about 2 feet by 5 feet. It was absolutely grueling, chiping and prying, there was no fast simple way. Having done the same work, I can really appreciate the extent your going. Once that last bit of wet was removed, the boats soul starts to want to come to life. I bet that boat was a smooth solid riding boat when new. Now its going to have a second life and be smashing waves even better than before! Your so close! Lay them stringers, fab your floors, pluming, electrical ect. Its going to be gorgeous. Maybe 25k maybe 30 including motor when done? Which is probably less that what it was new?

    More and more channels like this are getting my respect hard core you guys are restoring perfectly good boats while these companies just keep turning and turning these things out obviously they don't cost millions of dollars to make cause there is tons of them just sitting on docks or wrecked in hurricanes it's nice to see people take junk and turn it back into something fantastic Americans making things again from hand. and you tube has made this possible threw ad revenue for you folks. 10x better then women truck camping videos.

    The same way I like to do things is to do it right first time and is the reason most people did not like working for me because I believed in this method so no back tracking to do go back and fix it. Here is a tip for you and I see some people do this is don't let your tape measure snap back it wears out the rivet holes and ends up giving you an inaccurate reading later on in the middle of your project if you want to be precise.
